The Tayside and Fife Archaeological Committee is a liaison group which aims to promote archaeology in Tayside (Perth and Kinross, Angus and Dundee) and Fife.

TAFAC brings together individuals and organisations sharing a common interest in promoting and protecting the archaeology of the area. This covers all periods: prehistory, the Picts, the Romans, the Medieval period and right up to the 20th century.

Founded in 1977, TAFAC holds a popular annual Conference showcasing new discoveries in archaeology in Tayside and Fife.

TAFAC publishes an annual journal and specialist monographs.  Our latest journal, Volume 25,  along with other recent journals is available to download freely from this site.

Our major publication reports on the Perth High Street Excavation are available as four separate Fascicules.
